Contains 1% Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate as the active ingredient. This is chemically the same as borax and a salt of boric acid. It is specially formulated to:
- Retard the development of mold
- Dilute with equal parts of water (0.5%) to bring cost down
- To be attractive to a wide variety of ant species.
"Tramp Ants” ,which are the ants we are most concerned with controlling tend to make very large colonies and have a high demand for food sources high in sugar. Most of the time this demand for sugar is met by taking the excretion of plant sucking bugs like aphid, scale, and mealybug and using it as a food source. This liquid is referred to as "Honeydew”.-Gourmet Ant Baits® are scientifically formulated to mimic this natural ant food, and they contain our patented attractant “UNI-TRACT”™. “UNI-TRACT”™ has been shown to increase the feeding of Carpenter Ants, Ghost Ants, Argentine Ants, Crazy Ants, Imported Fire Ants, Pharaoh Ants, White-footed Ants, and Pheidole Ants.
